Marist Wins GADA Region Directors Cup
War Eagles clinch five state championships en route to claiming prestigious honor
The 2010-11 academic year produced another successful term for athletics., which included multiple championship trophies, and was capped off with the Georgia Athletic Directors Association Region Directors Cup.
This prestigious award, which honors the top program for each high school classification in the state, was once again bestowed upon Marist for Class AAAA. Marist has won this award every year since 2000.
The War Eagles claimed state championships in baseball, girls’ tennis, girls’ swimming and diving as well as in boys’ and girls’ cross country. The school also won Region 6-AAAA titles in softball, boys’ tennis along with girls’ and boys’ soccer.
