Mayor's Town Hall Meeting Cancelled
A conflicting DeKalb school meeting is also set for Thursday night.
BROOKHAVEN, GA — Mayor John Ernst has cancelled his August 25 town hall meeting.
The city announced on Wednesday that the town hall conflicted with the DeKalb school district's secondary school facility planning and feasibility meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Cross Keys High School, as well as several other community meetings.
The Georgia DOT was scheduled to present plans for its upcoming I-285/400 interchange construction project. That meeting will be rescheduled.

"As the school meeting affects all Brookhaven students, the mayor feels it's important to not burden parents with the choice of which meeting to attend," according to a statement from the city.
