Murphey Candler, Briarwood Pools To Remain Open On Weekends Through September
The extended hours, based on earlier sunsets, will be Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m.

Summer fun for Brookhaven residents will last a few weeks past Labor Day as the City pools in Murphey Candler and Briarwood parks are now scheduled to remain open on weekends through September. The Lynwood pool will close as originally planned after Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7.
The extended hours, based on the fact that sunset has already started to occur earlier, will be Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 -6 p.m.
Social distancing guidelines will remain in place for the extended pool hours. Patrons will still need to enter and enjoy the pools in specified time blocks, first come/first served on a walk-up basis.

Murphey Candler’s maximum number of patrons is 35 with the maximum for Briarwood set at 40 patrons. All pool visitors must exit the facility when their time block is up, regardless of when they entered, in order for staff to have time to clean all areas before letting the next group in. Visitors will not have to pay again for the same day as long as they visit during consecutive time blocks. If patrons leave and then come back later in the day, they must pay again.
Pool decks will not have furniture; however, visitors are welcome to bring in chairs as long as they follow social distancing guidelines of six feet between families.
Credit card payment is encouraged.
