Update: Pedestrian Fatality at Brookhaven Interchange

A man struck by a vehicle Monday night at a busy Brookhaven interchange has died.

Police say 38-year-old Ronald Stuart Jr. was pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital.

According to a statement from Brookhaven Police, the hit-and-run occurred around 8:40 pm at the I-85 southbound ramp from North Druid Hills Road.

“A witness advised that a newer red pick-up truck was seen as it struck the victim,” the statement said. “However, we do not have a direction of the suspect vehicle when it left the scene.”

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle.
