Police Arrest Brookhaven Peeping Tom

BROOKHAVEN, GA -- Police have charged a man suspected of taking pictures up a woman’s skirt last week at the Publix in Town Brookhaven.

John Sinclair, 29, turned himself to police on Monday. He has been charged with a felony called Peeping Tom.

Police say Sinclair followed the victim around the store last Monday and tried to start a conversation with her. “While the victim waited in line to check out, she was approached by the suspect again and without her knowledge took several photos with his camera phone under the victim’s skirt,” according to a police statement.

“The suspect then fled from the store on foot.”

Detectives began receiving tips shortly after this suspect’s picture was released on social media and through news outlets. After identifying Sinclair, they secured a warrant for his arrest on Saturday. Police have been working since then to coordinate his surrender.
