
The rabies alert issued Monday morning by DeKalb Animal Control has been rescinded.
“While the bite happened to a Brookhaven resident, the incident took place in Talbot County,” the agency said in a statement early Monday afternoon.
Initial reports were that DeKalb Animal Control is reporting that a rabid raccoon was captured in Brookhaven back on Feb. 15.

The animal was caught in the 1600 block of Richwood Drive.
