Brookhaven SWAT Standoff Ends With 2 Arrests
The incident happened early Tuesday morning at a Briarwood Road apartment complex.
BROOKHAVEN, GA — Two men are in custody after an early Tuesday morning SWAT standoff at a Brookhaven apartment complex.
Police say two gunmen forced their way into an apartment at 1750 Briarwood Road and demanded money from the resident. The victim was able to call 911, and police were able to help the person escape and set up a perimeter around the building.
One of armed suspects surrendered soon after police arrived, and the second was taken into custody a short time later. No shots were fired during the incident, and no one was injured.
