Woman Carjacked at Brookhaven McDonalds

BROOKHAVEN, GA — A woman was carjacked at a Brookhaven McDonald's early Thursday morning.

Brookhaven police say the woman was in the Peachtree Road McDonald’s drive thru around 1 am when two men approached her, one of whom had a gun. The two men then stole her vehicle.

Brookhaven police spokesman Carlos Nino said the Georgia State Patrol located the vehicle a short distance away and pursued it into the city of Atlanta.

"It was recovered after it crashed, but the suspects fled and avoided apprehension," Nino said. "The victim did not suffer any injuries."

Police say they are working on obtaining surveillance video.
