28th Annual "Evening in the Garden" Scheduled For March 17
Join us for a fundraising event benefiting Garden Hills Elementary School, 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 17th, at 433 Bishop.

The Evening in the Garden event is a community-wide effort that impacts the lives of 485 children from diverse cultural backgrounds. Garden Hills Elementary School (GHES) is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school that serves multiple Buckhead neighborhoods including Garden Hills, Peachtree Park, Peachtree Heights, Lindridge Martin Manor and Buckhead Atlanta.
βThe continued success of the school depends on the support of the surrounding community. Whether you have a direct tie to the school or live and work in the area, please join us for a fun-filled night that benefits the children at GHES,β said Hadley Laughlin, Acorns to Oaks Foundation President. βThis is our biggest fundraiser of the year and includes silent & live auctions, delicious food and entertainment. We are so grateful for the support of individuals and corporate sponsors who have already made contributions to GHES this year."
Evening in the Garden provides the majority of the funding for many essential programs at GHES - ongoing IB training for our teachers, in-school High Touch High Tech science field trips, maintaining our Learning Gardens, implementation of the Orton-Gillingham approach to literacy instruction, our award winning Fine Arts programs as well as support for our new Spanish Dual Language Immersion program. As a public school, GHES receives taxpayer support from a district whose resources are already stretched. Therefore, the school needs additional support from the community in order to provide enriching educational opportunities for every child at the school.
