3 Atlanta Restaurants Among Best Steakhouses: OpenTable

Bones, Chops and Hal's make the list of 100 Best Steakhouses in America for 2016, along with Roswell's Little Alley Steak.

BUCKHEAD, GA — Three Atlanta restaurants — Bones, Chops and Hal's, —have made the cut among the top steakhouses in the U.S., according to OpenTable.com. Roswell's Little Alley Steak was also recognized.

OpenTable gathered information from more than 5 million restaurant reviews written by verified OpenTable diners for over 20,000 restaurants all over the U.S. to put together the 100 Best Steakhouses in America for 2016 list.

Released Wednesday, the Best Steakhouses list includes steakhouses from 28 states and the District of Columbia. They were not ranked. OpenTable analyzed reviews from Oct. 1, 2015 to Sept. 30, 2016 for restaurants in the "steak" cuisine category with a minimum "overall" score and number of qualifying reviews.

Check out some Atlanta restaurants that secured a spot:

Bones, 3130 Piedmont Road, Atlanta. OpenTable Score: 4.8/5

Bones opened in 1979 and has been recognized as the best steakhouse in Atlanta since that time. Bones has been named the Best of Atlanta Steakhouse Award each year running for the past sixteen years. Bones specializes in prime beef, fresh seafood, Maine lobster and acclaimed wine cellar. Also be sure to check out their lobster bisque and truffle butter potatoes.

Nancy on OpenTable said, "Amazing!! Wonderful menu and the food was perfection...melt-in-your-mouth delicious and beautiful presentation! ... Bones' unquestionably goes beyond the ordinary without making the evening seem pretentious...understated fantastic! Chops, 70 West Paces Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta. OpenTable Score: 4.6/5

Chops is an Atlanta icon and consistently ranks as one of the top ten steakhouses in the country. Their seafood is flown in fresh daily, and their must-try dishes include the Savannah Lump Crab Cocktail and Famous Jumbo Batter Fried Lobster Tail. The dark wood dining room makes for a sophisticated atmosphere, so make sure to dress to impress.

An OpenTable diner said, "The food was phenomenal. The Filet was the best steak that I have ever had. The waiters never let our glasses less than 1/2 full. The ambiance was wonderful and they gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Highly recommend."

Hal's, 30 Old Ivy Road, Atlanta. OpenTable Score: 4.7/5

Hal's boosts amazing food in a relaxed atmosphere and "is not the typical highbrow restaurant so often equated with food of this quality," OpenTable said. Diners will have a lot of choices at this steakhouse, including award-winning steak, fish and shellfish, pasta, soup and salad. The staff at Hal's is known for being genuine and welcoming, and they've been together for more than 17 years.
