Advertisements in Parks, on Sidewalks? It Could Happen in Atlanta
The city says it's investigating the possibility of adding non-intrusive advertisement to public space to help pay for infrastructure fixes.

The City of Atlanta hopes it’s discovered an unconventional way to help clear up a billion-dollar infrastructure backlog through the selling of ad space throughout the city.
Instead of more billboards, WXIA-TV reports the new ads could come in the form of branded benches, complete with a cell phone charging station and WiFi hotspot. Want to save some money on your data plan by connecting to the WiFi? No problem, provided you look at the advertisement that shows up once you log on.
Other advertising avenues the city is considering include branded bicycle helmets used by a city bike-sharing program, re-purposing kiosks to serve as sponsored WiFi hotspots, and including sponsored video displays inside covered bus stops, WXIA-TV reports.
