AIS Students Unveil Poems of Peace Plaques at MLK Center Ceremony

AIS had Six Finalists and Two Winners for the 2015 Inspirational Messages of Peace Contest

Congratulations to the winners and finalists of the 2015 Inspirational Messages of Peace Contest. This year, 2,267 students from around the world including countries such as Mexico, China, India, and Gaza were invited to write messages of peace that reflected the ideas of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Ms. Coretta Scott King. Students were asked to reflect on these ideas in a 35 words or less poem about peace.

Congratulations to the eight finalists selected from all of the AIS Primary School Poets:

Out of the eight finalists from AIS, two poems were chosen to be engraved on plaques for a one-year display in the Martin Luther King, Jr. “I Have a Dream” World Peace Rose Garden. Congratulations to Atlanta International School’s two winners, Shu-Wen Wen and Victoria Erdman.
