Alleged Tyler Perry Stalker Claims 'Misunderstanding'
Former employee of Atlanta-based media mogul says in statement that he wanted to discuss his career.

A former employee says stalking claims brought by Tyler Perry are based on “a misunderstanding that was blown out of proportion by security guards.”
Joshua Sole, 27, released the statement Saturday, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
On Oct. 30, Sole allegedly barricaded himself in a room at Tyler Perry Studios, requiring an evacuation of the building, according the The Huffington Post.

Sole noted Saturday that he gained entry into the building Oct. 30 using his employee ID badge in an attempt “to discuss potential career opportunities,” according to the AJC.

First reports of the incident had described a desperate Sole, claiming he’d turned the power off to disable alarms and surveillance and climbed in through the ceiling in an attempt to reach Perry.
Earlier this month, Perry filed a civil suit to require Sole to stay 500 feet away, undergo a psychological evaluation and pay restitution of at least $100,000.
The New York Daily News reported a comment from Perry on Facebook earlier this month, claiming, “This young man wasn’t fired and didn’t get into it with anyone at the studio. He just decided that he wanted to meet me.”
