"AN AMERICAN CELEBRATION"

Choral Guild of Atlanta presents “An American Celebration” featuring the Missa Gaia, or Earth Mass, written by Paul Winter and other jazz musicians. The piece includes the chorus singing the traditional mass text accompanied by jazz orchestra, and nature sound effects in a jazz, gospel, vocal style. Also on the program are arrangements of favorite George Gershwin tunes from the American Songbook for chorus and piano.
