America's 250 Best Running Cities: Atlanta is No. 38

Runner's World recently ranked the nation's best cities for runners. San Francisco was No. 1.

Atlanta was recently ranked as the nation's 38th best city for runners by Runners World.

"Atlanta’s best running trails can be found in its numerous parks throughout the city," according to the publication. "Piedmont Park, Grant Park, Freedom Parkway, and the BeltLine all offer a chance to rack up the mileage you need to amp up your training. The Atlanta Track Club puts on great races throughout the year, including the world's biggest 10K, the Peachtree Road Race."

The publication started with a list of 250 cities with more than 160,000 people that had the highest number of households that reported running in the last 12 months.
