Allstate Agent Drew Niess Recognized for Volunteering with the Piedmont Park Conservancy

Local Allstate Exclusive Agent Drew Niess received the Allstate Agency Hands in the Community Award for his commitment to helping others and community service.Because of Niess’s outstanding volunteerism, The Allstate Foundation awarded a $1,000 grant to the Piedmont Park Conservancy, where he volunteers with the Green Market Brigade. The Green Market is a program in partnership between the Piedmont Park Conservancy and the City of Atlanta's Recreation and Bureau of Cultural Affairs that offers fresh, locally grown products, live music and kids programs in a weekly open-air farmer's market at the Park.
Allstate, its agents, and employees have a proud history of putting their good hands to work in supporting Georgia communities, promoting volunteerism and providing financial resources to enable local organizations to help others. Now in its 61st year, The Allstate Foundation has given more than $300 million in financial contributions to communities around the country and in 2012, gave $111,000 in Georgia as part of the Allstate Agency Hands in the Community Program.
“The Allstate Agency Hands in the Community Award celebrates the spirit of service and commitment to communities where we live, work and do business.” said Bob Holden, Field Senior Vice-President for Allstate’s Southeast region. “With support from The Allstate Foundation, Drew makes our hometown a better place.”

The Allstate Foundation awards $2 million every year to nonprofit organizations across the country in honor of dedicated Allstate agency owners who give back to their communities through outstanding volunteerism. To be eligible for nomination, Allstate agency owners must volunteer, mentor, or lead a nonprofit of their choice.
