The Atlanta office of Greenberg Traurig, LLP recently partnered with Grady High School to augment its Fine Arts Program. Approximately 20 art students were given a guided tour of the office's impressive private art collection on Wednesday, April 3, 2013. The tour featured pieces by artists such as Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to partner with our local public schools, promote arts education, and to expose students to contemporary art in a living, working environment that we are able to enjoy daily,” said Terry Weiss, a shareholder in the Securities Litigation Group at Greenberg Traurig, who led the tour. “The students asked insightful questions and made informed comments about the selection of specific pieces, the historical contributions of the individual artists represented, and the overall positive message of this body of work in our office and how it relates to the broad based diversified national practices in this Greenberg Traurig office.”
The visit was also intended as an inspiration for the students’ own original art pieces.
