Armed Robbers Hold Buckhead Family Hostage

One of the robbers forced the man of the house to withdraw money from an ATM and said they would be back for more loot in a few hours.

Police are searching for a pair of suspects who they say took a Buckhead family hostage on Monday morning and threatened to return to the home to steal more money.

According to CBS Atlanta, the robbers broke into the home on Paces Ridge Road Northwest near Mount Paran Road at 9:30 p.m. Sunday night and discovered a man, his wife, and their three children inside. The robbers allegedly covered the family’s heads with towels and held them at gunpoint while they pillaged the home.

11 Alive News reports that one of the suspects took the man to an ATM and forced him to withdraw $200. The suspects allegedly warned the homeowner that they would return in a matter of hours and hurt his family if he did not have more money for them.

The homeowner told police that he recognized one of the suspects, 11 Alive reports. Police describe the suspects as black males, one standing between 6’ and 6’3”, and the other standing between 5’8” and 5’10”. Both were wearing white Nikes, police told reporters.

Police are hopeful that the suspects’ faces were caught on the ATM’s surveillance camera.
