Atlanta Elementary School Receives Threatening Letter: Police

Atlanta police are stepping up patrols around an elementary school after it received a threatening letter on Tuesday.

According to WSB-TV, the letter to Morningside Elementary School contained a reference to a terrorist organization and a drawing. School officials immediately contacted police, who found enough worrisome content to alert the department’s Homeland Security unit.

Police are still investigating the letter and are working with the federal government discover who sent the letter, WSB-TV said. Officials said the letter could just be a hoax, but there will be increased police patrols in the area regardless.
