The Atlanta Food and Wine Festival begins at the Loews Atlanta Hotel in Midtown on Thursday and runs until Sunday, and features the best in traditional southern cuisine and the newest trends to take the genre by storm. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, almost 10,000 visitors stopped by the festival last year.

The festival will highlight the regions best in food and drink through tasting tents, tons of dinners, and a litany of cooking classes that can help visitors recreate a bit of the south in their own kitchens. According to the AJC, diners won’t only get a taste of the American south’s cuisine; food from southern Europe, South America, the southern hemisphere, and more will be available during the festival.

Festival organizers told the AJC that the 2015 festival will try to raise awareness of environmentally conscious dining by highlighting Gulf seafood and ways invasive species can be brought to heel by including them in modern cuisine.

Tickets for the event range from $185 for a one-day pass to $2,000 for a three-day connoisseur pass. To learn more about each ticket and to purchase a ticket for the festival, visit the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival’s website.
