Atlanta Lyft Driver Narrowly Avoids Death

The man's quick thinking saved his life when an armed robber started firing into his vehicle last week.

An Atlanta Lyft driver is lucky to be alive after an armed robber fired into his vehicle just after he had dropped off his fares at an apartment complex on Thursday.

According to WSB-TV, the driver had just let his passengers out on Mt. Zion Road in southwest Atlanta when he was hemmed in by a black four-door sedan. One of the people in the sedan got out and pointed a gun at the driver while demanding he exit the vehicle. Before the driver had a chance to react, the robber started firing into the car.

The driver quickly reclined his seat back to get out of the way of the bullets, WSB-TV said. Although he survived the shooting, his SUV was severely damaged and he has has difficulty sleeping.
