UPDATE: Missing Man Walks into Atlanta Police Station

Rosevelt Smith's wife had not seen him since Monday afternoon, police said.

UPDATE (9:12 p.m.): Rosevelt Smith walked into an Atlanta police precinct building at approximately 7 p.m. Thursday alive and well, police said.

ORIGINAL STORY (2:41 p.m.): Atlanta police are looking for a man who hasn’t been seen since leaving a MARTA station on Monday afternoon.

Spokesman Greg Lyon said that the wife of Rosevelt Smith reported the 44-year-old man missing on Thursday after not seeing him since 3 p.m. Monday. Smith’s wife said that he was traveling from the Five Points MARTA station to the West End MARTA station to talk to a man about some home improvement contract work.

MARTA police confirmed that Smith was seen on security cameras getting off a train at the West End MARTA station, but he then disappeared. At the time, Smith was wearing brown overalls, a white long-sleeve thermal shirt, a gold Nike hoodie, and black work boots.

Smith is described by police as a black male who stands 6’ and weighs 250 lbs. He has brown eyes, a bald head, and a full black beard.

Police say there is no indication of foul play at the moment.
