Atlanta Police Supervisor Faces Drunk Driving Charges
Robert Joseph Albertini was pulled over in Kennesaw late last month and refused to take a breath test, authorities said.

An Atlanta police officer who was once directly supervised by Chief George Turner is on suspension while the department investigates his August arrest for alleged drunk driving in Cobb County, FOX 5 Atlanta reports.
Robert J. Albertini was pulled over by a Cobb County police officer on the morning of Aug. 25 at the intersection of Stilesboro and Acworth Due West roads in Kennesaw, Cobb County jail records show. The officer had spotted Albertini crossing a double yellow line, FOX 5 reports. Albertini refused to take a field sobriety test and was arrested. Jail records show Albertini was charged with DUI and failing to maintain his lane.
Albertini lists himself as a sergeant in the department’s Internal Affairs and Integrity Unit in the Office of Professional Standards on his LinkedIn profile. He began working for the department in 2004 following six years with the Cleveland, OH police.
