Atlanta police have arrested two employees of the Atlanta Department of Watershed Management after an investigation allegedly linked them to the theft of equipment from the department.

Over the past several months, water meters, copper pipes, and brass fixtures have been stolen from department property and sold for profit at a nearby pawn shop. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, these thefts have cost city taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The two people arrested are described only as long-time employees of the department, FOX 5 said. They have been charged with theft by taking.
