Author and Pace Academy Alumnus Trip Hughes Returns to His Alma Mater
The author donated a signed copy of his book to the academy's library.

On Sept. 18, author, illustrator and Pace Academy alumnus Trip Hughes ’91 spent the morning with the school’s Pre-First students reading Hornswoggle, a children’s book he wrote and illustrated.
In the book, a young girl finds a mysterious shop where she acquires a dragon egg. All attempts to help the dragon learn to fly fail as she discovers that not everyone’s gifts are the same, and a deep friendship is born.

In addition to the readings, Hughes answered students’ questions about the inspiration behind the story and the process of writing a book. Hughes graciously donated a signed copy of Hornswoggle to the Pace Academy Lower School Library.
