BERT'S BIG ADVENTURE NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2016 FAMILIES
Nonprofit Organization Takes Children with Chronic and Terminal Illnesses and Their Families to Walt Disney World

Bert’s Big Adventure, a nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families, is now accepting applications for children to join the magic as a part of the class of 2016 families.
“We are super excited to welcome a new group of children and their families to the growing Bert’s Big Adventure family,” says Bert’s Big Adventure founder and host of The Bert Show, Bert Weiss. “Our families are so special to us, we’re excited to treat them like the VIPs that they are throughout the entire five-day trip. We want to help these deserving families leave their challenges behind and make lifelong memories and friends.”
In order to qualify, children must be between the ages of 5 and 12, diagnosed with a chronic or terminal illness, and have never been to Walt Disney World®. The family must be struggling with financial hardships and live in the radio listening area of The Bert Show. Applications are currently accepted from the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Brunswick, GA; Charleston and Myrtle Beach, SC; Dallas, TX; Fayetteville, AK; Fort Wayne, IN; Grand Forks, ND; Hot Springs, AK; Hugoton, KS; Huntington, WV; Jamestown, ND; Nashville, TN; Pierre, SD; SW, Kansas and Tupelo, MS.

Bert’s Big Adventure has grown to become a support system for nearly 160 children and their families nationwide, providing year-round support through various programs such as Reunion Adventures, the Fairy Godparent volunteer program and additional charitable services.
The selection process is not based on votes, and only one nomination per child will be accepted. Families who are selected will be notified no later than January 1, 2016.

This year, for the first time, applications can be submitted digitally. Please visit www.bertsbigadventure.org to submit an application online or for more information on how to nominate a child and/or family. Options are available to anonymously submit families, as well. All applications must be postmarked by October 10, 2015 to be considered.
