UPDATE: Body Discovered in Northwest Atlanta
The victim was found inside a bullet-ridden vehicle outside Collier Park.

UPDATE (1:18 p.m.): Atlanta police have released additional information regarding a body discovered near Collier Park on Friday morning.
WSB-TV reports that officers were first dispatched to the scene shortly after 9 a.m. on Friday after receiving a 911 call reporting a bullet-riddled red Jeep Grand Cherokee parked in the 3000 block of Collier Drive. Officers discovered a man slumped over inside the vehicle. An area resident told WSB she heard three or four gunshots.
The nearby childrenβs center is closed for the duration of the investigation.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says that police have recovered shell casings from the scene and determined that there are at least six bullet holes in the Jeep. Police believe the gunshots came from outside the vehicle.

Homicide detectives are on scene in the 3000 block of Collier Drive, but police arenβt saying much else at this point, says WSB-TV. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the body was discovered inside a red Jeep Cherokee parked outside the Collier Park recreation center.
