Join the fight against cancer and the movement to create a world with more birthdays, by participating in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life® of Vinings – Smyrna, GA May 31 – June 1, 2013  at The Lovett School football field at 6:00 pm. This inspiring event unites the entire community in celebrating those who have had cancer, remembering loved ones lost, and providing an opportunity to fight back against the disease. Relay For Life supports the Society’s mission to save lives by helping people stay well, by helping people get well, by finding cures and by fighting back.

Dr. Gordy Klatt founded Relay For Life in 1985 to raise funds for the American Cancer Society by doing something he liked - running.

Dr. Klatt's vision has evolved from one man running around a track to a global movement of communities coming together and walking to honor cancer survivors and caregivers, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

Dr. Klatt is currently undergoing treatment for stomach cancer. Relay for Life is very excited to announce that; pending his recovery, Dr. Klatt will be making a very rare East coast appearance at Relay For Life of Vinings -- Smyrna, GA on Friday, May 31, 2013!
