Lovett Hosts Spring Arts Festival

The Lovett Spring Arts Festival 2013 took place on April 18. It featured renowned Southern artist Steve Penley and incorporated the theme “Art, We Lovett: Celebrating the Best of the South." The day-long event, focused on the arts, including painting, pastels, pottery, music, and improvisation. At Steve Penley's station, the artist spoke with Lower School students about how he approaches the classic Coke bottle shape in his artwork and students were able to come up with their own interpretations. More than 50 parent volunteers at 17 art stations on the Denny Field helped make this event a complete success!
