New Kid on the Block

Hello Buckhead Lovers!

I’m excited to be one of the new Patch bloggers and wanted to take the time to introduce myself. I’m a recent University of Miami graduate with a degree in public relations. After graduation, I wanted a change and decided to leap for my dreams in Atlanta. It seemed like the perfect mix of Southern and city, with great career potential.

I landed a great job at public relations firm Wilbert News Strategies. My bosses are both former journalists so they are really helping me strengthen my writing, pitching and overall career skills.

I was born in Louisville, Ky. but grew up in Houston, Texas, so I’m a Southern girl at heart. I love exploring the city and getting my weekly fix of great Mexican food! My favorite is Pappasito’s but I also like Tin Lizzy’s and Taqueria del Sol. I dream of eventually opening a small bakery on the side, but public relations is my passion and I always want to work in the field.
