The top of the first was marked by strong pitching by Wells King who had 2 K’s and induced a weak grounder to get the Warriors off to a good start. Matthew Church walked, stole 2B and scored on an error to give the Warriors an early 1-0 lead.

King struck out the side in the top of the 2nd. The Warriors threatened in the bottom of the inning when Jackson Echols moved to 3B on a sac bunt and a fielder’s choice, but the Warriors couldn’t push him across.
The Knights scored 1 in the 3rd to tie it up. Campbell Toye made a nice throw to 3B to get the runner and limit the damage. King continued to pitch well with 2 more K’s.
King had another K and induced two fly balls to shut the Knights down. The Warriors could manage no offense in the 3rd or 4th frame.
Toye led off the top of the 5th with a single to RF. Hugh Fitzgibbons pinch ran for Toye and was moved over on Jake Johnston’s perfect bunt. Echols knocked in Fitz and Jake scored on a throw to try to get Echols who stole 2B. Echols scored on infield hit by Will Johnson to make it 4 to 1.King was done on the mound and Toye came in and pitched well with 2Ks and a fly ball to Church to end the 5th.
In the 6th, Church walked and stole 2B and scored with some aggressive base running making the score 5 to 1. Grady added one more in the 7th, but it wasn’t enough. Final- 5 to 2.
