{Shades of Grey} Style Files

Drawing inspiration from our inner Anastasia, this week we explore fall fashion in shades of grey.

If you’re like us (and, well, every woman in the country), you spent hours this summer poring over the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. Drawing inspiration from our inner Anastasia, this week we explore fall fashion in shades of grey.

The racks in our favorite boutiques are suddenly filled with silver, charcoal, slate, ash and dust, so finding inspiration is not hard. Our first pick: a Bill Hallman original sheer blouse. Anastasia could wear this versatile piece with her favorite grey pencil skirt to the publishing house by day and then throw on a pair of black jeans for a sunset jaunt aboard Charlie Tango.

At fab’rik we found this boat neck satin shift dress with a black and grey watercolor pattern. The price, at less than $50, would appeal to Anastasia’s sensible style, and the sensual flowy satin would get the Christian seal of approval.

At Tootsie’s, Julie showed us the perfect casual ensemble for spending the day aboard Christian’s motor yacht Fair Lady. We paired Citizens of Humanity skinny jeans in grey with a comfy tee and topped it off with an Adrienne Landau short sleeve rabbit fur jacket. At Pella we snapped up a Cowboysbag hobo to complete our outfit.

Once you’ve assembled a fall wardrobe in shades of grey, stop by Ona, where you’ll find an entire line of Lady Primrose products in the appropriately named scent — Tryst.

If you have not yet indulged in the Fifty Shades of Grey craze, stop by the Buckhead Barnes and Noble where the trilogy is prominently displayed in the middle of the store.
