The Lovett School Announces Scholarship and GHP Recipients

The Lovett School is pleased to announce several scholarship recipients and our Georgia Governor's Honors Program recipient for 2013.

The Lovett School is pleased to announce:

Senior William Henagan, has been selected by the University of Virginia as a Jefferson Scholar. This prestigious scholarship, the goal of which is to nurture promising leaders, covers the full costs of William's UVA education. William is one of 31 winners, chosen from students across the country and around the world.

Senior Mitchell Hightower, has been awarded a scholarship through National Achievement. This scholarship is based on Mitchell's excellent PSAT scores and his high school academic record. Mitchell will use this scholarship next year at Yale University. Way to go, Mitchell!

Senior Elizabeth Bogue, was recently awarded a college scholarship through the National Merit Corporation from Branch Banking and Trust Corporation. She was chosen based on her impressive academic accomplishments. Way to go, Elizabeth!

Junior Samantha Keng, was selected to represent Lovett at the Georgia Governor's Honors Program (GHP) this summer, where she will study social studies. GHP is a summer residential program for gifted high school students. Samantha was selected after a rigorous application and interview process. Juniors Jay Bland (Environmental Science) and Vivian Ilonzo (Latin) are alternates for GHP.
