The third game in a row was not a charm for the Warriors as the first three batters were set down in order. The Rams, who had a lot riding on the game, came out strong and put one on the board in spike of some solid defense by Brandon Ector at 2B and Wells King at pitcher

Again nothing doing for NA in the second. King held the Rams scoreless spraying ground balls to Harrison McClure at SS, Campbell Toye at 1B and Ector.

Jacob Oglesby stroked a solid single to RF, but the Warriors could not get anything else going. The same went for the Rams with a strikeout looking, a pop up to McClure and the final out of the inning at home plate on a nice tag by Will Johnson.

King walked to lead off the 4th. Johnson lined out and McClure reached on an error moving King to 3B. Jackson Echols’ sac fly scored King tying the game 1 to 1.  In the bottom of the inning King struck out two more Rams, but not before they were able to make it 5 to 1. Toye relieved King and recorded the last out without a pitch on a play at the plate.

Matthew Church reached and Livaditis smashed a double to score him, but the Warriors could muster no more offense. Score 5 to 2. The Rams didn’t do much better with nice plays by Devin Walden, McClure and Echols and good pitching by Toye.

The Warriors could not get anything going in the top of the 6th. Toye struck out two and helped himself out, catching a popup, but not before Arabia Mountain added one more to make it 6 to 2. The top of the 7th was more of the same. Final 6 to 2.

Congratulations Warriors on a terrific regular season record of 18 and 5 and a trip to the Division Championship and State Tournament!
