The SW Dekalb Panthers were greeted by the hard throwing McClure who recorded two strike outs and induced a ground ball to Jake Johnston who continued his good glove work at 3B in the top of the first. King lined a shot through the LF fence for a ground rule double to lead off. Will Johnson sacrificed to move King to 3B, who was knocked in by McClure. In spite of single by Jackson Echols the Warriors were only able to score one.

McClure continued to be dominant in the 2nd striking out another and throwing a ground ball to Brandon Ector. Campbell Toye made a nice pickoff throw to the steady Ector at 2B to nab a Panther runner. The Warriors really got rolling in the bottom of the second when hot hitting Matthew Church reached on an error. Ector walked and King singled to score Church. King stole 2B and Ector scored on the throw to try to get King. Johnson crushed a double to the deepest part of the park (barely missing HR by a couple of feet) scoring King. Johnson stole 3B and scored on McClure’s double to RF. Score 5 to 0.
The Panthers were overmatched in the 3rd with McClure striking out the side. Johnston singled in the bottom of the frame, but the Warriors could not capitalize.
It was wishful thinking that the Warriors could hold the solid Panther team scoreless forever and a couple of hits and a couple of base on balls led to three SW Dekalb runs. McClure did strike out the side, but not before the Panthers were back in the game 5 to 3. Devin Walden singled and Ector successfully sacrificed to move him into scoring position. King was hit by pitch and Johnson hit into a fielder’s choice moving Walden to 3B. A balk by the Panther pitcher scored Walden increasing the lead to 6 to 3.
McClure returned to his dominant form striking out two more and fielding a come backer for the last out of the 5th. Toye and Johnston singled, but the Warriors once again could not capitalize.
King took over on the mound and pop upped up the leadoff batter and struck out the next two looking. In spite of a lead off base on balls for King, North Atlanta was held scoreless in the bottom of the 6th.
The Panthers came up for their last chance in the 7th only to be met with another strikeout and a groundball out to Johnston at 3B. King finished with a strikeout looking. Final of 6 to 4.
