Broken Water Main in Buckhead Closes Portion of Northside Drive

A water main on Northside Drive in Buckhead burst on Tuesday afternoon, forcing officials to close a portion of the road for repairs.

The Georgia Department of Transportation says that contractors working on the road caused the water main to break at approximately 2:30 p.m. The main burst at the intersection of Northside and Springlake drives near the Bobby Jones Golf Course.

No timetable for repairing the damage has been established, and GDOT is asking drivers to stay away from the area while repairs are made.
