Buckhead CID Eyes Spring Opening for Loudermilk Park
The green space was set to open months ago, but construction was shelved to avoid conflicts with other projects, Neighbor Newspapers says.

A new section of green space in Buckhead should be open in time for spring, the executive director of the Buckhead Community Improvement District told Neighbor Newspapers.
Jim Durrett said that the $2.5 million renovation to Charlie Loudermilk Park should have been finished by April, but delays were imposed to avoid conflicts with other developments such as Buckhead Atlanta, Neighbor Newspapers reported.
Durrett said that getting the park ready for a late March or early April, 2015 grand opening was the district’s highest priority as 2014 came to a close. Once re-opened, the park will feature a clock tower, covered seating, and a statue of Charlie Loudermilk, wrote Neighbor Newspapers.
