Buckhead Heritage: "History for Cocktail Parties"

“History for Cocktail Parties,” a podcast hosted by James Ottley and Thornton Kennedy, is equal parts storytelling, history and good-natured banter.

The podcast explores the people, places and unlikely moments that shaped the South and the nation. Episodes range from how the band R.E.M. first emerged from Athens, Georgia, to the secret meeting at the Jekyll Island Club that helped hatch the Federal Reserve System. Other stories dive into the founding of Charleston, the Great Locomotive Chase of the Civil War, the origins of the Masters Tournament and the manhunt for John Wilkes Booth after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
