Buckhead Schools Gearing Up for Their Fall Festivals

The calendar is packed full of fun, family-friendly fall events in the coming weeks and months.

The leaves are changing colors around Buckhead, and that means that soon our little corner of Atlanta will be in the heart of fall festival season.

Schools in and around Buckhead are putting the finishing touches on their upcoming festivals, hoping for big turnouts and the creation of lifelong memories for families.

Each of the upcoming events has something to boast about, be it a rock wall, a haunted house, laser tag, or pedal cars. Admission to most of the festivals is free, but several festivals are selling wristbands or tickets that will allow adults and children alike to hop on the rides and awesome activities.

Reporter Newspapers has the full list of Buckhead’s fall festivals, but let’s look at a few that are right around the corner:

  • The Galloway School’s Fall Fun Fest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festival will feature games, arts and crafts, a magician, live music, a haunted house, and more. Admission is free, but tickets or wristbands must be purchased in order to use the rides.
  • The Morris Brandon Elementary Jamboree will kick off on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. and run until 5 p.m. The jamboree boasts laser tag, face painting, bungee trampolines, and food trucks. An all-access wristband for the event costs $32.
  • The Sarah Smith Elementary Annual Fall Festival is coming on Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to the school’s primary campus. The fall festival will include inflatables, carnival games, a toddler play zone, The Home Depot Learning Express truck, a rock wall, pedal cars, and a haunted hall. Admission is free, but an $8 wristband buys the use of most of the festival activities.
