Hey, friends! It's Saturday in Buckhead and I'm back in your inbox with everything you need to know about what's happening in town. Let's do this...

First, today's weather:

Partly sunny, heavy t-storms. High: 91 Low: 73.

Here are the top three stories today in Buckhead:

  1. On Thursday, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, Governor Brian Kemp, Atlanta Police Department Interim Chief Darin Schierbaum, and the Buckhead Community Improvement District officially opened the new Zone 2 precinct in One Buckhead Plaza at the intersection of Peachtree Road and West Paces Ferry. The Buckhead Village Precinct is a collaboration between APD, Buckhead Coalition, Buckhead Community Improvement District and Cousins Properties to bring together the efforts of beat officers, enabling them to operate more efficiently as crime fighters.
  2. Chops Lobster Bar plans to reopen this fall after a fire caused the Buckhead restaurant to close. Niko Karatassos, president of Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, said that the restaurant has expanded its dining room and bar seating, including a patio and private room. A permit was filed in April to restore and remodel the restaurant at an estimated cost of $1.9 million. (Reporter Newspapers)
  3. Someone reportedly shot at a car on Tuesday on Peachtree Road in Buckhead, shattering the window of a nearby business. The shooting happened outside the Sephora makeup store near Peachtree and Mathieson Drive. A shopper in the area said, "It's kind of frightening when you live in this area. You think you can come and be a patron of these stores and this is what happens."
