Building Our Largest Dementia Infrastructure for Alzheimer's
Request for Congress to Pass BOLD

Alzheimerβs Disease is a Public Health issue. It affects 5 million Americans and is the most expensive disease in America with costs exceeding a quarter of a trillion dollars per year. The number of people living with Alzheimerβs is projected to triple to as many as 16 million in 2050, and the costs are expected to rise to $1.1 trillion.
My parents suffered from Alzheimerβs for a total of 18 years before their deaths. I know first hand the complications that can arise while caring for those with Alzheimerβs. With proper care, many of these can be mitigated.
Congress has a chance to take decisive action passing the Building Our Largest Dementia (BOLD) Infrastructure for Alzheimerβs Act (H.R. 4256). Endorsed by the Alzheimerβs Association, the BOLD Infrastructure for Alzheimerβs Act would create an Alzheimerβs public health infrastructure across the country to implement effective Alzheimer's interventions including increasing early detection and diagnosis, reducing risk, and preventing avoidable hospitalizations.
Join me in thanking Congressman Barry Loudermilk for his support in increasing research funding and asking Congressman Loudermilk to sign on to BOLD along with nine other members of Congress in Georgia.
