"Captain America" Movie Shoots Scenes in Buckhead

Locals who see the latest installment of the “Captain America” movie franchise in theaters may be able to recognize some of the locations where the film was shot.

Buckhead locales Fado Irish Pub and the W Hotel were used as backdrops for several scenes during shooting this week, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Production for “Captain America: Civil War” is now shifting to downtown, with scenes to be shot at a church and private school.
Stars of the movie have also been spotted around town; Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans were seen in Buckhead, and Evans also spent time at a local gym.

“Captain America: Civil War” will open in theaters on May 6, 2016.
