Car Goes Down Embankment, Lands on Roof in Buckhead

A woman was taken to the hospital after her car drove down an embankment and flipped onto its roof before sliding to a stop next to a parking deck in Buckhead on Tuesday morning.

11 Alive News reports the incident occurred at approximately 4 a.m. at The Darlington apartment complex in the 2000 block of Peachtree Road. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the woman was driving through the complex’s parking lot when she accidentally drove down the embankment, her Honda Accord ending up on its roof next to the parking deck of a medical building.

Police on the scene told the AJC that the woman was able to crawl from her car and seek help at a nearby business. She was taken to the hospital for treatment of a bruised eye and chest pains, and is expected to recover.
