City Employee Fired For Demanding Bribes
A city water inspector has found out that there is no such thing as a free lunch.
A water inspector for the City of Atlanta has been fired after extorting a local restaurant with some very unusual bribe requests.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Cynthia Burch demanded food, not money, from Manuel's Tavern in Virginia Highlands. Burch wanted regular meals in exchange for promises that she would not "cause problems" for the popular watering hole.
Once Manuel's food became tiresome for Burch, she began bringing in raw ingredients and demanded the staff of Manuel's cook meals specifically for her with the ingredients she brought them.
Burch became the target of a city investigation, but denied all allegations against her until she was told there was evidence to support the claims. She then admitted to the deeds.
