Coca-Cola Cleans Up Chastain Park

The company partnered with Trees Atlanta for the Corporate Green Day challenge.

Volunteers planted native grasses, cleared overgrowth and invasive plants, and spread a fresh layer of wood chips on the trails.

The company says this year's effort puts the total number of former syrup containers turned rain barrels at 22,000 since 2008. Officials estimate the rain barrels collect enough water each year to fill 100 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
