In partnership with Trees Atlanta, company volunteers will arrive at Chastain Park for the cleanup effort from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Children of the volunteers will convert the syrup drums into rain barrels. The effort is part of EarthShare of Georgia's Corporate Green Day Challenge, and will kick off Earth Day celebrations.
The group of 150 to 200 Coca-Cola associates and family members will plant native grasses, clear overgrowth, spread wood chips on park trails and grounds and remove invasive plants, the announcement said. Children’s activities include assembling and painting rain barrels from the syrup drums.
