UPDATE: Convenience Store Clerk Killed in Southeast Atlanta
Police believe the clerk was shot and killed during the course of a robbery.

UPDATE (6:00 p.m.): The Atlanta Police Department has released additional information on the shooting death of a convenience store clerk in southeast Atlanta on Sunday.
Police held a press conference at 5:30 p.m. Monday, where surveillance camera footage of the Big Brother 2 Food Mart was released. The video purports to show the robbery which led to the clerkβs shooting. According to the timecode on the surveillance footage, the robbery occurred just before 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.

ORIGINAL STORY (12:50 p.m.): Atlanta police are investigating the shooting death of a convenience store clerk whose body was found in the front doorway of the premises on Sunday night.
According to WSB-TV, the owner of the Big Brother 2 Food Mart came to lock up the store just before midnight on Sunday when he discovered the clerkβs body. The food mart is located in the 800 block of Norwood Road, near the Atlanta Youth Academy.

Police say that robbery was the motive for the shooting, but have no suspects in the case and have yet to determine the clerkβs time of death. Authorities are hoping that the storeβs security cameras will provide evidence of the shooting.
