Corporate Headquarters Coming to Buckhead, Creating New Jobs; Second Headquarters May Follow

Hundreds of new jobs are on the way to Buckhead with the announcement of an Atlanta-based business’ expansion and the possible relocation of a mattress company’s corporate headquarters.

BuckheadView reports that Sharecare, a social website focused on health and healthcare issues, is growing its Atlanta presence by leasing 30,000 sq. ft. inside Buckhead’s Capital Building. Along with the new space, Sharecare is also hiring 150 new employees to join the 700 people it already employs.

In the same vein, Invest Atlanta is expected to extend tens of thousands of dollars of incentives to Serta Simmons Bedding LLC in hopes of luring them to Two Alliance Center. Atlanta is competing against the Carolinas, Tennessee, and Illinois for the site of the mattress company’s new headquarters.

If Serta Simmons Bedding LLC decides to move to Buckhead, it will create another 110 new jobs for the area. The new jobs would average a six figure salary.
