Council Rescinds Renaming Harris Street Downtown

The Atlanta City Council Monday rescinded an earlier vote renaming Harris Street downtown for renowned architect John Portman.

The council action was in response to a lawsuit filed on behalf of the Atlanta Preservation Center by Wright Mitchell, an attorney and president of the Buckhead Heritage Society.
