Covenant Presbyterian Church Begins Three-Month Series of Adult Education Classes Exploring Politics and Religion
Everyone is welcome to Covenant Presbyterian's new adult education class on religion and politics, 9:30 a.m. Sundays through March 29.

Buckhead’s Covenant Presbyterian Church has begun a new series of adult education classes entitled “Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion”. The three-month series is being taught by Covenant’s Senior Pastor, Dr. Ernie Hess, and is open to all adults, including those who are not members of the church. The one-hour classes meet at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel each Sunday through March 29. “We will use Jonathan Haidt’s book, The Righteous Mind, in our class, but although I’m encouraging students to purchase the book, it is not necessary for participation,” said Dr. Hess. “In his book, Haidt challenges conventional thinking about morality, politics and religion in a way that speaks to everyone on the political spectrum. Each week we will focus on a particular topic, and I will prepare hand-outs for each class. Some of the topics planed are Vote for me (Here’s Why), Taste Buds of the Righteous Mind, Why are We So Groupish and Religion is a Team Sport. For a list of class dates and topics, visit www.covenantpresbyterian.us and see “Upcoming Events” on the home page. Covenant Presbyterian is located at 2461 Peachtree Road in the heart of Buckhead. Parking is available on the top deck of the Peachtree Battle Shopping Center parking lot, immediately south of the church.
